I'm glad i dont have that problem with my dog, she does great with horses. I had problems with my old dog that was a sheltie border collie mix, GS are also consider a working breed and if you work with them every day they are awsome dogs!!! I dont think nevada will ever leave my side.

The other thing about german shepherds that they like to do is nip at the back heels of the horse while you are riding. Not good. I guess it is just the herding instinct.
Yes, I will get a good pic of Jackson and get it up here. He is awesome. I love German Shepherds too, but I don't think they are so good with sticking with the horses on trails...........
I have lots of the Clydesdale ads saved on my computer.

Dalmations used to be one of my favorite breed of dog until I got a German shepherd and then they took over. But I still love the Dalmation they have a great personality.
I have an awesome Dalmatian named Jackson. He was a pound puppy and one of the best dogs I have ever owned! He loves coming on trail rides with us and the horses and just a sociable well behaved guy. Who ever said all Dals are crazy haven't met Jack!
