O.K. The jury is out. Cetyl M has been tried and approved by Sandi. She is doing noticably better. I highly recommend it. ($15.00 per mo. for 65 lb. dog).

Rain Rain Go Away! Have an Evacuation Plan in Place.

Wow! We are really getting hammered here in North GA. We are in the mountains, so only wash-out mudslides, spotty flooding. I took a shovel and dug a moat around the barn, so everything drained. My tack grew aqua fur overnight. Cleaned leather all day. Who am I to complain about such a thing? We are O.K. But South of here. Oh, boy! Around Atlanta, many horses were taken to higher ground. Very sad, but 11 people have died. Mostly swept away in their cars. If you don't have an evacuation plan; mak… Continue

Hi Aimee,
Thank you so much for your reply! I would love to see photos of your work, it sounds beautiful. I sell my work from my website and will also be selling it on Equestrain Collections soon, I'm very excited! My site is www.HorseshoesByDesign.com . I am finding that designs are evolving from people asking for special requests...favorite gems or colors. This has been quite a journey in getting to this point and I feel grateful for all of the support I have gotten about my work. Thank you so much for reaching out Amiee...I am new to this blog so I am learning how to navigate around. I am finding horse lovers to be quite kind!! Have a beautiful day! Laura

Hi Aimee,

I did get my new (used) saddle and I love it!!! I was having a hard time with the AP too and hoped that the Dressage seat would help me out. My western saddle seems to bother my hips???? Brass is pretty wide and that makes things even wider...LOL.

We have a sand ring at the house that I ride in....60 x 120. I'm just learning so going outside of the ring is a scary thing for me right now. Going to do lots of riding in there and then venture outside in the future.

hi! sorry i never get on this site and forgot all about it! no, luckily, we are further south and our barn ad no flood damage. i had lots of friends who spent the day rescuing horses, and we have two horse "refugees" coming in tonight for a long term stay since their barn was badly damaged and pasture is still underwater. thanks for reminding me about this site and its nice to meet you- hope you are doing well!

Hi Aimee,

Sunny is a Mountain Pleasure Horse. He's 6 years old. Bit young for my first horse (as you know I haven't been riding long) but he was so incredibly gentle; truly an old soul and it just felt right. Can't explain it really. I'm learning to ride English style but am equally interested in exploring his gaited style too.

I have 5 retired Standardbreds and Brass. We have raced horses for the last 10 years and have finally decided to call it quits. I have kept all of my retirees though and am determined that some of them are going to be ridden!! The roan is an exceptional horse...always looking out for his human. As soon as I get better with Brass I'm going to tackle that big pink beast!!

OH!! That's not me on Brass...should have put that in the pics. That is a young lady from our 4-H group that comes and rides him a couple times a week for me. I'm not quite as steady up there but I'm learning. I just bought a dressage saddle in hopes that it will help my balance...can't wait for it to get here!

Hi Aimee....Nice to meet you!!

Brass actually isn't the best horse for trail rides. This photo is his former owner riding him and she could get him to do many things out there but he just would never settle down. She opted for a Halflinger instead of him because of this. He really prefers to ride in the ring. I have only been riding since January so the ring is a much safe place for both of us!!

Hi Aimee, the "Ouch" was for the butt, not so much the shoulder!! Those girls yelled at me if I so much as put reins in the right hand!!! They really looked after me on that ride :) Got some awesome friends.
