Hi everyone,
I'm new to EquiVillage! A little about me, I grew up outside of Washington DC have been involved in horses all my life. I grew up on a small horse farm where my mother bred and trained show hunters. I grew up under (and was named after) Jane Marshall Dillion of the Junior Equitation School where I learned from a decades old system of riding that not only produced riders, but also fostered horsemanship and discipline. I rode on the A circuit through my junior years periodically and while at the University of Virginia I was president of the riding team.
In the years since college, it's been hard work to balance riding and work, but I've been very dedicated to my parent's farm where I break and train their homebred young horses and ponies. I currently work in Washington DC at a boutique PR firm, but I am grateful to Equestrian Collections for getting me on the path to where I am today. I spent about 2 years at Equestrian Collections where I learned the ins and out of application customization, SEO and database management. Big words for a very un-technical girl pitching in to make Equestrian Collections great.
I sit on the board of the Virginia Pony Breeders Association where I am on 4 committees. I also run the VPBA sales list. www.vpba.com
Oh and I have one pony that I've broken and trained who is pretty much mine... his name is Albert and I think he's just the greatest :)
